Once again, Bethany Mortorff, the inventor and creator of the DreamWrights Critter Crew is heading up an ingenious group of critter designers for Peter Pan and Mary. She confides, “The kids who do critter crew seem to love it!”
Ten year old Juliet Kelly says she likes to be creative. Penny Garner, also ten, declares that she likes to cut and stuff the animals, especially the puppies. Eight year old Ava Perkins beams, “You can be imaginative…and use sparkles!”
The critter crew is crafting handmade creations including: fairies (like Tinkerbell), mermaids, lost boys (like Peter Pan), girls (like Mary), pirates, crocodiles, and puppies. Pirate and lost boy hats will be available as well as mermaid hair clips. Critters are priced from less than a dollar up to $12 each. Sales are available an hour prior to showtimes, during intermission, briefly following the performances of Peter Pan and Mary, and are available only while supplies last.
Take home a souvenir from this show and consider joining the Critter Crew for our upcoming production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. If you’re at least ten years old and interested in crafting some magical critters, please come for auditions on August 15 or 16 at 6pm.
