Coney Island Christmas is a heartwarming holiday show for all ages and faiths. A young Jewish girl is, much to the chagrin of her immigrant parents, cast as Jesus in the school’s Christmas pageant. Now in present day LA, she reminisces with her great-granddaughter about their collective pageant woes, and, along with a bit of holiday magic, both are brought back to 1935’s Brooklyn to relive the story! Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies weaves together a festive mix of nostalgia, music and merriment into a universal tale of what it means to be an American during the holidays.

“Gave me the gift of wonder…incredible enchantment!” —Los Angeles Times.

Based on the story “The Loudest Voice” by Grace Paley
