Summer Camps 2018

FULL DAY CAMPS:

HALF DAY CAMPS:
9AM – 11AM, 9AM-12PM OR 1PM-4PM

(Our Dahl and Disney camps run for 2 full weeks.That’s 70 hours of instruction time!)

All camps end with a shareback on the final day.

Tickets are available for the production camps (101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, and Willy Wonka) at our box office.

All campers will receive ONE FREE t-shirt per summer.

Bring your own snack and bagged lunch.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We offer 100% refund up until 30 days prior to camp/class start date and 50% up until 2 weeks (14 days) prior to start date. If you choose to withdraw less than 2 weeks before (including during the camp), no refund will be offered. If DreamWrights cancels a class/camp due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.

A.  Jungle Jamboree

Campers will engage together as they create the sights, sounds, and animals of the jungle through creative drama. Don’t miss the fun – join our safari! End of camp sharing on Friday, August 3 at 10:30 am.

Designed for our youngest campers, this camp is a wonderful first opportunity to explore creative drama in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Students will be active and engaged though movement and make believe. Make your wish!

Rising Grades 1 – 3


C. Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS 

This zany musical adventure is adapted from Disney’s classic animated film featuring an outrageous villain and 101 of the most adorable heroes to ever set their paws onstage. This high spirited musical provides tons of fun and a great learning experience!  This is a full day two week camp! Each camper receives one complimentary ticket to the public performance on Friday, June 29 at 3:30 pm.  GET MORE TICKETS HERE!

D. Imagination Station (Two slots added!)

Through fun and engaging creative story dramatization, students will learn about the actor’s toolbox: body, voice, and imagination. Anything is possible for these campers as they devise together in this exciting week of camp! End of camp sharing on Friday, July 13 at 3:30 pm.

E. Unicorn Universe (Get on the waiting list!)

Be unique in camp this week! Discover the magic inside. Campers will explore creative drama and build confidence through fun theatre games and activities, as well as colorful arts and crafts. End of camp sharing on Friday, July 20 at 3:30 pm.

F. Under the Sea  (THIS CAMP IS FULL)

Take a dive under the sea with fun and creative drama games and songs.  Through movement, music, and art creations, campers will bring the sea world to life. Swim on over and explore the world of aquatic theatre life!  End of camp sharing on Friday, July 27 at 3:30 pm.

G. Superheroes on Stage

Campers will discover their inner superhero during this action-packed week of camp! Through lively stories, poetry, theatre games and art, campers will have a blast developing their strengths.  The sky’s the limit! End of camp sharing on Friday, June 22 at 3:30 pm.

I. Create a Story

Students will develop strong foundational acting and writing skills by creating and rehearsing a story dramatization throughout the week.  Campers will design visuals and create props to help tell their original story. End of camp sharing on Friday, August 3 at 3:30 pm.

Rising Grades 4 – 8

J. Lights, Camera, Action! (Grades 4-8)

Go behind the scenes for some action-packed fun! Campers will tell a video story through their own creation of photo creatures and original music videos. End of camp screening on Friday, August 10 at 11:30 am.

K. Clowning Around: Commedia Takes the Cake

Learn the art of improvisation and physical comedy in this camp.  We’ll have serious and colorful fun as we work on our silliness! End of camp sharing on Friday, August 10 at 3:30 pm.

L. All the World’s a Stage

Learn theatre techniques to help you shine! Campers will develop their performance skills by exploring actor’s tools and character creation while working with imaginative and fun scripts.  This is a unique opportunity to work within an ensemble, challenge yourself, and grow!  End of camp sharing on Friday, June 29 at 3:30 pm.   

M. Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR  (Grades 3-8)

Join Charlie Bucket on his delicious adventures to Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring enchanting songs both old and new, this camp provides a golden ticket to adventure and learning. This is a full day two week camp! Campers will go behind the scenes and learn how to create stories with videos and still photos. Students will be both behind and in front of the camera as they create their work. Campers are welcome (but not required) to bring their own equipment including a smartphone. End of camp screening on Friday, August 10 at 11:30 pm.

O. Broadway Bound: Musical Theatre Dance (Grades 6-8)

Rehearsing numbers from Broadway’s most popular titles, campers take the spotlight! Let your light shine as you dance your way through these Broadway numbers! End of camp sharing on Friday, August 10 at 3:30 pm.

S. Design Your World: Scenic, Lighting & Props Design (Grades 6-12)

Go behind the scenes! This camp provides the opportunity to learn about the art of creating scenic, lighting, and props design for live theatre. Come and explore how to enhance the experience by bringing these theatrical design elements to life. End of camp sharing on Friday, August 17 at 3:30 pm.

Q. Visual Storytelling: Photo & Media

Create and bring a story to life through video, still photos, and audio! Learn how to craft and edit your own original project. Campers are welcome (but not required) to bring their own equipment including a smartphone. End of camp screening on Thursday, July 26 at 3:30 pm.
