About our Scenic Design:
During DreamWrights Summer Camps this year, we asked students from two different fine arts courses (grades 3-8) to begin each day with a doodle prompt. Each prompt corresponds with a setting in the musical Shrek: The Swamp, The Woods, The Castle. Next, we collaged these images into six panels for each setting. These cardboard panels, generously donated by York Container, form Periaktos (revolving triangular prisms) at 12 feet, 10 feet, and 8 feet in height. Then students from Logos Academy and York Academy transformed these black and white fairytales with vibrant colors completing our storybook scenic design.
