On Tuesday, May 9 at 6:00 pm and Wednesday, May 10 at 6:00 pm, DreamWrights Center for Community Arts will hold auditions for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This production will be guest directed by Amanda Nowell with Kevin Alvarnaz assisting, and Nic Ecker as the Musical Director. Nowell encourages anyone ages 13 – 20 to audition. She says, “You should audition even if you have never seen or heard of the show. It’s a lot of fun and we hope to see a lot of new and familiar faces!”
No prior experience is necessary; however, auditionees are asked to prepare a song in its entirety. Those auditioning need only attend one audition night. Nowell is seeking to cast 25 – 30 parts and crew positions will be filled from those auditioning. More information and the audition prep can be found on our website.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opens Friday, June 22 and runs June 23 and 24 at 6:30 pm and June 24 and 25 at 2:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 717-848-8623. Advance seats cost $10 for general, $14 for reserved. General admission seats at the door cost $12.
