AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Select and prepare one side from the following:
Kevin/Camila
Benny/Nina
Vanessa/Daniella/Carla
Usnavi/Sonny/Abuela

2. Please prepare a vocal piece in the style of the show.  Songs from the show are acceptable, but not necessary.  Please pick something that fits your vocal range, and your rhythmic quality.

3. Check the tentative rehearsal schedule and indicate all of your conflicts on your Audition Form

4. Fill out the Audition Form and bring it with you to your audition

5. Sign Up for your audition slot.

Callbacks- Everyone who is notified by the director that they are called back are to arrive at the theatre at 5:30pm for warmups and to learn a group dance from 5:30-6:30.  From 6:40-7:00pm you will learn a group song to hear and split vocal parts. Callbacks will be in 5 minute increments, possibly with scene partners.  We will start this portion at 7:00 pm and be finished by 8:00pm.  Please be available through the entirety of this process.

 

If you are offered a role in the production, the production support fee of $20 (members) or $30 (non-members) is due on or before the Information Night. The fee may be paid by cash, credit card, or check payable to DreamWrights. Scholarship funds are available to cover all those in need. For scholarship assistance, please contact Ann Davis at annd@dreamwrights.org.
These fees directly support the costs of mounting the production.

USNAVI – Owner of De la Vega Bodega (Sings and Raps)

Nina Rosario – a Freshman at Stanford University-Daughter of Kevin and Camila Rosario

Kevin Rosario – Owner of Rosario’s Car service

Camila Rosario – Kevin’s Wife and Nina’s Mother, Co-Owner of Rosario’s

Benny – employee of Rosario’s

Vanessa – works at salon

Sonny – Usnavi’s cousin

Abuela Claudia – raised Usnavi-Matriarch to the neighborhood

Daniela – Owner of Daniela’s Salon

Carla – works at the salon

Grafitti Pete – local artist

Piragua Guy – keeps everyone cool with Ice Cold Piragua through the summer

Ensemble – 8 needed (can go up to 12)

June 11 & 18 at 3:00 p.m.

At this time, masks are welcomed in our building but are not required.

Ticket Exchange Policy:
Tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged for a different performance of the same show at no charge.
NO exchanges will be made the day of the performance. Tickets must be exchanged through the box office.
Exchanges of Reserved seats can only be guaranteed for the desired performance if there are available seats in the reserved section. All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend a show.
