Karyn Sherwood
Teaching Artist
Karyn Sherwood has been sewing since she was eight years old, and her career has taken her just about everywhere since. She spent several years working as a seamstress on cruise ships, fitting costumes onto incoming cast members everywhere from Alaska to Norway and through the Panama Canal. She later served as Costume Shop Manager at Hershey Park, overseeing wardrobe for 13 resident shows. Today, she runs her own costume rental business, Sherwood Fineries, and brings that wealth of professional experience to her work at DreamWrights as Costume Shop Manager.
Karyn came to DreamWrights because she had always wanted to work in a costume shop and with young people in equal measure — and found both in one place. When she’s not in the costume shop, she’s likely tending to her chickens, fostering kittens, or letting a dancer friend attempt to teach her choreography.

Annalise Marie Vuono
Teaching Artist
Annelise’s style is characterized by figurative elements within abstract environments. Her paintings feature strong color schemes and an emotional presence. Based out of Central PA, Annelise is the daughter of an art educator and designer. She began drawing at a young age finding inspiration from fantasy films, music, graphic novels, and nature. Later, she graduated with a BFA from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Annelise has been working for years in various visual art fields and participates in gallery showings yearly. Her work has been published in books and magazines, and featured among athletic and fashion venues. In recent years she has made a career out of being a full-time artist and shifted almost solely to public, large-scale work. In addition to creating art, Annelise has a passion for community involvement, including volunteering, educating, and raising awareness for the arts with a mission to “revitalize communities through accessible art, to evoke emotion for the enrichment of society.”
