Cancellation and Refund Policy

We offer 100% refund up until 30 days prior to camp/class start date and 50% up until 2 weeks (14 days) prior to start date. If you choose to withdraw less than 2 weeks before (including during the camp), no refund will be offered. If DreamWrights cancels a class/camp due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.

Camp Protocols

  • Door side drop-off and pickup.

Week 1: June 15–19


1A. MOVEMENT IN MUSIC: HOW MUSIC SHAPES OUR LIVES
Ages: 3–5 (9am–12pm or 1pm–4pm)

Music has the power to move us—sometimes literally. In this playful and welcoming camp, young musicians will explore sound through movement, rhythm, and reflection. Campers will dance, play instruments, sing together, and participate in games and improvisation activities that build confidence, coordination, and connection. Through listening and creating, they’ll discover how music helps us express ourselves and share our feelings. ALL are invited to enjoy a sweet end-of-week sharing of our campers’ musical discoveries.

1B. ONCE UPON A STAGE
Ages: 5–8 (9am–4pm)

Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Stories filled with magic, adventure, and happily-ever-afters come to life this week. Campers will explore classic tales and live out their own enchanted adventures. They will read beloved stories, make whimsical fairytale crafts, and bring a host of magical characters to life through singing, dancing, and playful theatre activities. At the end of the week, ALL are invited to enjoy a charming showcase featuring our performers’ fairytale creations.

1C. CREATIVE THREADS
Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Design, crafting, and hands-on creativity take center stage in this skill-building camp. Imagination meets technique as campers learn beginner sewing and explore basic design principles. Students will create fun projects they can be proud of while developing problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence. With guidance and encouragement, campers will stitch, design, and experiment in a supportive and inspiring environment. ALL are invited to see their young designers’ creations at the end of the week.

1D. TEEN IMPROV
Ages: 13-18 (9am–4pm)

Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Laughter and quick thinking drive this high-energy improv experience. Students explore creativity, collaboration, and confidence through fast-paced games and scene work. Campers practice making bold choices, listening closely, and supporting teammates in a fun, low-pressure setting. Through imagination and spontaneity, they build strong communication skills and discover the joy of creating scenes on the spot. ALL are invited to enjoy an entertaining improv showcase at the end of the week.

Week 2: June 22–26

2A. PIRATES & PRINCESS
Ages: 5–8 (9am–4pm)

A grand kingdom or the open sea—this week invites campers into both. In a world where royals and swashbucklers collide, students create unforgettable characters, build enchanted settings, craft royal and pirate props, and bring their stories to life through singing, movement, and theatre play. Join us at week’s end for a sparkling, swashbuckling performance filled with adventure and imagination.

2B. BRICK BY BRICK: STORYTELLING WITH LEGOS
Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)

Building, creating, and storytelling combine in this imaginative camp. Campers use Legos to design characters, settings, and exciting storylines. Through guided challenges and free play, students collaborate, problem solve, and bring their ideas to life. Daily sharing and reflection help campers grow in confidence and communication. ALL are invited to explore our colorful creations during a special end-of-week showcase.

2C. THE ART OF THE BOOK
Ages: 10–16 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Writing and hands-on craftsmanship come together in this creative experience. Students learn how paper is made, how books are bound, and how stories become finished works. Campers write short stories, design pages, and bind their own handmade books from start to finish. Through guided instruction and creative exploration, students build confidence and pride in their work. ALL are invited to view and celebrate these one-of-a-kind books at the end of the week.

2D. MUPPETS, MAYHEM, & MOVIES
Ages: 10–16 (Teens Only) (9am–4pm)

Original characters take shape—and then take the screen—in this imaginative hands-on camp. Students create muppets using sewing, felting, gluing, and 3D-printed eyes and accessories, developing craftsmanship and creative problem-solving skills along the way. Once their puppets are complete, it’s off to “Hollywood”—our green screen studio—where students perform and film a short video starring their original characters. At the end of the week, each student takes home their custom muppet and finished video to share with family and friends.

Week 3: June 29–July 3 (4 Day Week)

3B. MAKING A SOCK DOLL
Ages: 8–12 (9am–12pm)

Handmade treasures come to life in this pioneer-inspired craft camp. Students learn basic hand sewing and are introduced to machine sewing while creating a sock doll and a custom-made outfit. Step by step, campers build skills, patience, and confidence as their creations take shape. No prior sewing experience is necessary—just curiosity and creativity. Families are invited to see these adorable handmade dolls at the end of the week.

3C. JACK OF ALL CRAFTS
Ages: 8–12 (1pm–4pm)
Tuition: $104, Premier Members: $93.60

Experimentation and artistic exploration fill this creative week. Campers work with UV resin, painting, clay sculpting, simple sewing, beadwork, and Cricut projects such as T-shirts and tumblers. With guidance and room for imagination, students build skills and confidence while creating one-of-a-kind projects. ALL are invited to see a gallery of our campers’ creative work at the end of the week.

3D. BEHIND THE SCENES: AN ACTOR’S JOURNEY
Ages: 10–16 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $232, Premier Members: $208.80

Performance takes more than talent—it also requires balance and self-awareness. This unique camp focuses on self-care in theatre while building creativity and social skills. Campers learn healthy pre-show routines, ways to decompress before and after performances, mindful social media habits, and how to use music to process emotions. Through discussion, activities, and peer support, students strengthen both their artistic and personal growth. ALL are invited to learn about their performers’ journeys at the end of the week.

Week 4: July 6–10

4A. JUNGLE QUEST
Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Adventure and imagination lead the way in this jungle-themed production camp. Campers build brave explorer characters, design tropical sets, craft jungle props, create explorer costumes, and bring the adventure of the jungle to life on stage. Join our expedition and see what discoveries unfold.

4C. MAKE A MURAL CAMP
Ages: 10–16 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Lasting artwork begins with vision and collaboration. Students learn from professional muralist Annelise Vuono how to prepare, design, and execute original artistic concepts through two major projects. Campers create a firefly painting for public display and collaborate on a permanent mural in DreamWrights’ Blue Lobby. Through hands-on instruction and creative exploration, students build confidence, strengthen artistic skills, and connect with York’s downtown arts scene. ALL are invited to celebrate these lasting works of art at week’s end.

4D. THE DYNAMIC DUO: ACTING AND DIRECTING
Ages: 10–16 (9am–4pm)

Acting and directing work hand in hand to tell powerful stories. In this camp, students explore both roles while expanding performance skills and experimenting with leadership. Through scenes, collaboration, and creative exploration, campers deepen their understanding of storytelling and grow as confident theatre artists. ALL are invited to enjoy a final presentation featuring collaborative work.

4.5.6. BEETLEJUICE JR: MUSICAL PRODUCTION CAMP
Ages: 7–16 (9am–4pm)

Tuition: $875 (15 Day Camp!), Premier Members: $787.50

A fully produced musical takes shape over three exciting weeks. Students rehearse, create, and perform Beetlejuice JR while developing skills in acting, vocal performance, movement, and teamwork. Campers learn choreography, master scenes, and grow in confidence as performers. Through dedication, creativity, and collaboration, students experience what it takes to mount a professional-style production from start to finish.

ALL are invited to attend and celebrate two fully produced performances of Beetlejuice JR.

Weeks 5 & 6: July 13-24  Two Weeks of Tech Camp!


5.6. BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE, BEETLE-TECH

Ages: 7–16 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261 (Per Week)

Do you love creating behind-the-scenes magic and solving creative challenges? Have you ever wondered how lights, sound, costumes, and sets bring a show to life? In this hands-on two-week technical theatre camp, students will design, build, and operate all backstage and production elements for Beetlejuice JR. Campers will explore lighting, sound, set construction, costumes, props, and stage management while working as part of a professional-style production team. Through guided instruction and real-world experience, students will develop technical skills, confidence, and teamwork. At the end of the program, ALL are invited to attend and celebrate the exciting performances made possible by our technical theatre artists!

5C. SHOWSTOPPERS! MODERN MUSICAL MANIA
Ages: 10–16 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Broadway energy fills the studio this week. Students dive into singing and dancing from today’s hit musicals, working together to perfect show-stopping group numbers. Through rehearsal and collaboration, campers build confidence, stage presence, and ensemble skills. The week concludes with a lively final performance that brings modern Broadway to life.

6C. ONCE UPON A TWIST: FRACTURED FABLE WRITING

Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Classic tales take unexpected turns in this imaginative writing camp. Campers read and act out beloved fables, examine what makes a fable work, and collaborate to write an original 10-minute play. Their newly created story will be featured in this year’s New Fable Festival. Families are invited to a special reading as writers bring their twisted tale to life on stage.

6D. TEENS TELLING TALES: FRACTURED FABLE WRITING
Ages: Teens Only (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Traditional fables and fairytales are reimagined with bold, modern flair. Teens brainstorm, write, and workshop an original 10-minute play to be submitted for DreamWrights’ New Fable Festival in the fall. One of four selected pieces will be fully workshopped, produced, and performed. ALL are invited to celebrate our young playwrights’ creative achievement by week’s end.

Week 7: July 27–31


7A. MOVEMENT IN MUSIC: HOW MUSIC SHAPES OUR LIVES

Music becomes the lens for exploration once again. Campers discover how sound shapes emotions, culture, and daily life through movement, rhythm, and reflection. Dancing, instrument play, and creative collaboration build confidence, coordination, and connection. Games, improvisation, and discussion show music as expression, communication, and community in inclusive, joyful camp spaces.

7C. THE GIFT OF GAMING
Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Game design becomes the focus of this creative week. Campers play, design, and build original board games while exploring rules, strategy, storytelling, and visual design. Through teamwork, problem solving, and repeated play-testing, students refine their creations and grow in confidence as designers. ALL are invited to join us on the final day to play and celebrate these original games.

7D.8C. BLEEDING HEARTS ACADEMY PRESENTS…

Ages: 11–18 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $580, Premier Members: $522

Do you love The Wizard of Oz? Do you adore the gothic architecture of Dracula? Find out how they connect to the classic tale of A Christmas Carol in local playwriting duo Brennan & White’s The Bleeding Heart Academy for Girls Presents…The World’s Greatest Production of A Christmas Carol. Campers will rehearse, promote, and perform this hilarious new work on the mainstage with two public performances at the end of this two week camp.

Week 8: August 3–7

 

8A. FROM PAGE TO STAGE: THE ART OF ADAPTATION
Ages: 8–12 (9am–4pm)
Tuition: $290, Premier Members: $261

Books transform into live performance in this creative theatre camp. Students examine what makes a strong adaptation and explore how written words become action on stage. Working collaboratively, campers select a story, adapt it into a script, rehearse, and perform for an audience. Writing, acting, and collaboration skills grow in a supportive environment. ALL are invited to enjoy the final performance at week’s end.

8D. BLEEDING HEARTS ACADEMY PRESENTS… (TECH)

Technical artistry supports the production this week. Students design, stage manage, and execute lighting, sound, scenery, costumes, props, and production management for two public performances of Bleeding Heart Academy Presents…. ALL are invited to attend and celebrate the performances made possible by our technical theatre artists.
