Camp space is limited! Register early online.

If you are not well, we ask that you remain at home to protect others from illness.

Bring your own snack and bagged lunch.

DW Members get 10% off tuition.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We offer 100% refund up until 30 days prior to camp/class start date and 50% up until 2 weeks (14 days) prior to start date. If you choose to withdraw less than 2 weeks before (including during the camp), no refund will be offered. If DreamWrights cancels a class/camp due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.

Camp Protocols

  • Door side drop-off and pickup.
  • Limited camp enrollment for each camp.
  • Staff and participants are welcomed to wear masks for their protection.
  • Daily outdoor time when possible.
  • Keep all illnesses at home!

Week 1: June 16-20

1A. THE ROYAL ACADEMY
Ages: 5-7 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Are you fit for royalty? Do you have what it takes to be a prince or princess? If so, accept the week-long challenge to join the DreamWrights’ Royal Court. The Crown’s top advisor will have you walking like a noble, acting like an heir, and singing like a prince. All are welcome to attend Friday’s Royal Ball to witness a showcase featuring the newest nobles of York.

1B. OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Ages: 8-12  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you dream of galaxies far, far away? Would you like to be the master of your own universe? Join our mission to construct an “out of this world” production.  Create cosmic characters, build a distant planet, design alien props, and construct intergalactic costumes!

Week 2: June 23-27

2A. TAPPY LITTLE FEET  [½ DAY CAMP]
Ages: 3-5 (9am-12pm)
Tuition: $125, DW Member $112.50           

Are your little ones always tapping their feet? Do they dance like no one is watching? If so, get out ya tap shoes, Francis! Ms. Maddie is teaching a tap class.  No experience required! We will begin with the basics and by Friday we’ll showcase our tappy little feet.

2B. THE QUEST FOR THE LEGENDARY LOST CROWN
Ages: 6-9  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Have you ever dreamt of being a princess or a knight? How about a fire-breathing dragon? Join our fantastic fairytale adventure: The Quest for the Lost Crown! Read tales of olde, craft costume pieces, explore medieval-themed activities with the merriment of singing and dancing! Citizens of the Realm are welcome to witness the fruits of our Quest on Friday.

2C. BROADWAY MUSICAL SPECTACULAR
Ages: 10-16 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you see your name in lights? Are you Broadway bound? Then say it with a song by taking center stage and singing your heart out. Learn from a veteran performer how to build presence, sell a song, and connect with an audience. Put it all together for Friday’s Broadway Musical Spectacular.

2D. ACTION! a directing camp
Ages 10-16  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you see the big picture? Do you have a clear vision? Then take the director’s chair and learn how to guide an actor from script to stage. Build your directing tool belt with tactics for text analysis, tricks to dynamic staging, and how to create dramatic tension.

2E.  AFTER CAMPMAKING MAD HATTER HALL
Ages: ALL (Under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult)

Is tea your favorite time? Are you mad about design? Join the team as we transform DreamWrights’ lobby into an enchanting tea party that would drive the Hatter mad! Create the first of five immersive art exhibits for the World premiere of “The Wonder in Alice” this September. Don’t be late for this very important date for teatime on Friday at 3:30 pm.

Week 3: June 30- July 3 (4-Day Intensives)

3A. CLASSIC THEATRE ADVENTURE FOR KIDS
Ages: 5-9 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $230, DW Member $207

Want to explore classic pieces of theatre that have a sense of daring and adventure? Would you like the chance to delve into some fun sword-based shows?  Join us for this 4 day camp where we’ll look at a variety of genres and well-known play authors with a focus on fearless fun!

3B. PAGE to STAGE: the art of adaptation
Ages: 6-10  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $230, DW Member $207

Do you love “Matilda?” Which version: the book, the musical, or the movie? Voice your opinion on books that have made their way to Broadway. What storylines were subtracted or expanded upon? What makes a novel an ideal candidate to adapt for the stage? Join the debate as we compare and contrast award-winning books and their scripted adaptations and how you could do it better!

3C. LIP SYNC FOR YOUR LIFE! 
Ages: 8-14  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $230, DW Member $207

Do you love the lyrics but are shy about your voice? Do you always dress the part? It’s time to lip sync for your life! Learn to lip sync, how to move, and sell a song.  Our young artists will strut their stuff centerstage at the end of the week and perform their very own lip sync numbers complete with outfit, makeup, and hair design.

3D. BEHIND THE CURTAIN: The Art of Stage Management 
Ages: 12-16  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $230, DW Member $207

Do you want to rule the world (of the play)? Can you create order from chaos or want to know how? Explore the basics of stage management, from blocking to calling a show, and much more! This 4-days intensive equips you with survival skills to fill your toolkit to tackle your next production. Engage in fun-filled exercises to gain knowledge on the art of stage management and running a show!

Weeks 4, 5 & 6: July 7-25  Three Week Production Camp!

4.5.6  Disney’s FROZEN KIDS
Ages: 6-10 & 11-14  (9am-4pm)
Tuition $855, DW Members $769.50

Do you want to build a snowman? Can you not “Let it Go?” Get cast away to the frosty kingdom of Arendelle and bring this Disney favorite to life. This 3-week production camp will include auditions, music rehearsals, staging, and choreography. Learn blocking, memorize lines and lyrics, and boldly bring a fully realized production of Disney’s Frozen KIDS to the DreamWrights’ mainstage for two ticketed public performances on Friday, July 25th at 1:30pm & 3:30pm

Week 4: July 7-11


4A&B. LET’S PLAY: Jungle Jamboree
Ages: 3-5   A: Morning (9am-12pm)  or  B: Afternoon (1-4pm)
Tuition: $125, DW Member $112.50

Do you want to wiggle with wombats? Do you want to croon like a cockatoo? Jam to jungle beats, move with monkeys, and devise a wild adaptation of the book “Watch Out! Big Bro’s Coming!” by Jez Alborough. Join us in the jungle on Friday as these fearless beasts take the stage.

4C. BATTLE OF THE BAKERS
Ages: 7-9 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you love solving mysteries? Do you love to eat cake? Put on your detective hat and join your fellow mystery buffs to play games, crack fun cases, and perform short play on Friday!  Join us as we reveal to the world who stole a cake from the Paris International Baking Competition at 3:30.

4D. POP-STAR PALOOZA

Ages: 10-14 (9am-4pm)

Have you ever wanted to sing like your favorite artist? Do you want to improve your pop singing skills? Learn how to sing like the stars. Pick your favorite pop song, assemble accessories, as you build the perfect pop persona. Watch the future sensations storm the stage for DreamWrights’ Pop-Star Palooza.

4E. SOLO: crafting the perfect monologue

Ages: 12-16 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you have something to say? How would you say it?  Dive into self-scripting by devising your own monologue. Discover what makes a monologue moving, how to choose a piece, and acquire tools to dissect the script to get the best performance possible. Exposure to different theatrical styles will help inform our original monologues that will be presented at the end of the camp week.

Week 5: July 14-18

5A. OCEAN ADVENTURE ODYSSEY
Ages: 5-7 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Is there salt in your veins? Does the ocean call to you?  Dive deep into creative expression and venture under the sea! Sing alongside starfish, dance with dolphins, swap stories of the high seas, and soak in the sanctuary of theatre games. All are invited to submerge to see our young artists’ under the sea spectacular.

5B. CHRISTMAS IN JULY: creating Santa’s workshop 
Ages: 9-16 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Are you sad when Christmas is six months away? Is it never too early for Christmas carols? Beat the heat this July by taking an imaginative journey to the North Pole. Explore a festive world of wonder in this immersive camp inspired by DreamWrights’ 2025 holiday musical. Dive into the creative process as you help bring a holiday classic to the stage. Learn behind-the-scenes tricks of theater during this hands-on camp designed for all levels of experience. No prior knowledge required – just bring your imagination and a sense of adventure!

5C. CAPTURING THE MOMENT: photos & film
Ages: 8-11 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Is your phone filled with photos? Curious about creating visual media? Learn the basics for taking the perfect picture/video, what to look for, and how to edit your work. Build your portfolio while honing your artistic vision by capturing fellow campers in action, learning to give and receive constructive feedback, and taking dynamic drone shots! An online photo album will be shared with the participants and the digital gallery exhibition will be displayed and open to the public.

Participants must provide their own photography gear: camera, iPad, or a Smartphone.

Week 6: July 21-25

6A. LET’S PLAY: A Wish and a Star [1/2 Day]
Ages: 3-5   Morning only (9am-12pm)
Tuition: $125, DW Member $112.50

Have you ever wished upon a star? Do you wonder what it would be like to swing on a star and carry moonbeams home in a jar? Let’s twinkle little stars as we have fun making wishes, creating star art, dancing on the stars, and learning how to shine on the stage.
Bring your family and watch us shine on Friday, July 25 at 11:30  as we take the stage for a star gazing show!

 

6B. THE GREAT DINO DANCE OFF!
Ages: 5-7  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you love dinosaurs? What about dancing? Experiment in a world combining these two loves in a week-long celebration. Seek out costumes, assemble an amazing set, construct cretaceous era props, and create cool dance moves in the process.

Join us for a prehistoric performance on Friday, July 25  at 3:30.

 

6C&D. DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?: Disney’s FROZEN tech camp 
Ages: 7-11 and 12-16   (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you marvel at Elsa’s magic? Do you want to be the architect of Arendelle? Learn about the art of scenic, lighting, costume and prop design for live theatre. Enhance the audience’s experience through these theatrical elements that will bring the kingdom of Disney’s FROZEN KIDS to the DreamWrights’ stage for two ticketed public performances on Friday, July 25th at 1:30 & 3:30pm.

 

6E. IMAGINING MONSTERS
Ages: 9-16  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you have a monster imagination? How do you express it? By writing, revising, illustrating with mixed media, and story-boarding, these young artists will write and illustrate a short story concerning a fantastical beast. Artists will keep their creations and then collaborate on one very big “monster” book that will remain in the DreamWrights’ collection. Self-expression, an appreciation of group interaction, and cooperation is emphasized.

6F. DREAMS IN A JAR: mural arts camp
Ages: 9-14 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $290, DW Member $261

Are you a dreamer? Do you dream BIG? Young muralists will capture their dreams in a jar and set them in a time capsule on DreamWrights’ latest two-story mural. Work with an acclaimed local artist to design a Dream Jar to be affixed to this magical mural for years to come.

Week 7: JULY 28- AUGUST 1

7A&B. CURIOUS CREATORS  [1/2 day]
Ages:3-5 (9am-12pm) 6-8 (1pm-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Are you a curious soul? Do you enjoy using your imagination to create things? Join us for a week full of curious creations. Each day, our young artists will engage in a read-aloud session to spark their creativity. We will utilize art supplies, recycled materials, and plenty of imagination to craft artworks inspired by each book. To conclude the week, a gallery-style exhibit will showcase all their imaginative creations.

7C. ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE
Ages: 9-16 (9am-4pm)

How does a show come together? And who does what? For those new to the stage, we will demystify the craft of theatre by discussing the various roles of director, actors, designers, crew, etc. We will learn theatre vocabulary, stage directions, and some theatre history.

7D. exPRESS YOURSELF: the art of self-publishing
Ages: 11-16 (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Can you express yourself in print? Is creative writing your thing? Explore a variety of writing forms, from journaling to short stories, plays, and  scripted series. Engage in fun-filled writing exercises that enhance your creativity and productivity. Self-expression will be the key to unlocking your full potential as a writer. Experienced and budding authors will dive into their imaginations and refine their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

7E. VIDEO Special FX: Puppets, Green Screen, Miniatures, and More
Ages: 10-16 (9am-4pm)

Do you marvel at superhero movies? Do you want to be a master of the green screen? Young creatives will work collectively to write a special effects sequence utilizing old and new technologies. They will spend the week creating, shooting, and editing their minds’ wildest ideas.  No prior experience required- just imagination and excitement to bring it to life.

Week 8: AUGUST 4-8

8A. SUPERHEROES: Landing center stage
Ages: 5-8 (9am-4pm)

Is there a young one in your life that loves to take center stage? One who dreams of being a superhero? We want to recruit these brave little ones to sing songs, create crafts, read stories, play games, and devise their very own superheroes! All are welcome at the end of the week for a meet and greet with the newest class of DreamWrights’ Heroes.

8B. IN MY LITTLE EYES: A Children’s Poetry Collection
Ages: 6-10  (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you love rhymes? Are you creative all the time? Join author Juelz Davenport for a summer camp that’s sublime! Spend the week bringing creativity, art, and poetry to life. Using inspiration from illustrator Zoey Wolfe’s colorful works, young artists will explore self-expression through vibrant words and multicultural art. Let your imagination run wild with fun, inclusive themes and exciting artistic manifestation.

8C. VILLAINS: being so bad it’s good!
Ages: 8-11  (9am-4pm)

Do you root for the bad guy? Are you sympathetic to the scoundrel? Sink your teeth into this sinister character type. Craft ways to make these fearsome villains vulnerable and real. All are welcome at the end of the week for a meet and greet with the newest class of DreamWrights’ Villains.

8D. BUILDING WONDERLAND: the immersive art of “The Wonder in Alice”
Ages: 10 and up (9am-4pm)
Tuition: $285, DW Member $256.50

Do you want to free-fall down a rabbit hole? Are you “curiouser and curiouser”? We will create a fully immersive art installation inspired by DreamWrights’ upcoming adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland.” Modeled after the fantastical, interactive experiences created by Meow Wolf (https://meowwolf.com/), this project combines visual arts, set design, lighting, and interactive elements. We will challenge artists to collaboratively transform a space into a surreal, otherworldly adventure.
