Hope Allen
Teaching Artist
Hope Allen (She/Her) is a Senior at Syracuse University in the BFA Stage Management program. This is her second year as a Teaching Artist, and she is so excited to be back! Her passion for the performing arts started at DreamWrights in 2015 when she played a Jitterbug in The Wizard of Oz. Since then, she has been involved in multiple productions with DreamWrights, her most recent credit being American Idiot (PSM). Other credits include: Spring Awakening, The Moors, Sender, The Queen of England, Finding Nemo Jr. and many others. In addition, she has experience in company management, front of house management, dramaturgy, and sound engineering.

Travis Conrad
Teaching Artist
Travis Conrad is a dedicated musical theatre performer and choreographer with experience both on stage and behind the scenes. Since beginning his theatre journey in 2019, Travis has appeared in numerous productions, most recently performing as the Candlestick/Ensemble in Beauty and the Beast at Keystone Theatrics at the Allenberry Playhouse (December 2024), and as Race in Disney’s Newsies at DreamWrights (October 2024).
In addition to his work as a performer, Travis has choreographed productions of In the Heights and Once on This Island at York Academy.
This summer marks Travis’s first year as a DreamWrights summer camp instructor, and he is thrilled to help inspire and guide the next generation of young theatre artists.

Tshyona Dagnachew
Teaching Artist
Tshyona Dagnachew is a sophomore at York College of Pennsylvania, majoring in Music Technology. While she has been part of multiple DreamWrights productions, she is excited to step into the role of Teaching Artist for the first time! Tshyona hopes to learn just as much as the kids throughout this process and is grateful to her friends at DreamWrights for the opportunity.

Juelz Davenport
Teaching Artist
Julian “Juelz” Davenport is an author, poet, and inspirational speaker who uses raw storytelling and poetry to help students find their voice. From navigating life’s challenges to becoming a published writer, Juelz empowers youth through creative expression. His workshops and presentations, like Words Have Power, inspire students to embrace their truth and realize the impact of their words.

Randy Flaum
Teaching Artist
Randy Flaum is a documentary photographer covering events and people from York County. He moved to York, PA, in 2000 as the photography editor for The York Dispatch. His career began in Connecticut covering stories throughout that state. Since retiring from The Dispatch Randy has been telling visual stories from local events and the people who make up York County.

Anna Fraser
Teaching Artist
Anna Fraser (she/her) is an Eckerd College graduate with a BA in both Theatre and Animal Studies, and she has been performing onstage and working behind the scenes at DreamWrights since she was 8 years old. She has an affinity for historical costumes, particularly from the Renaissance and Regency eras, and loves writing and literature. Anna is DreamWrights Costume Shop Manager and has costumed several shows. More often than not, she has a book waiting nearby to be picked up at her earliest convenience.

Crystal Ganong
Teaching Artist
Crystal is a mom of two and a wife of 13 years. She is originally from Massachusetts, and earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts, Theater Concentration; and English and Book Arts, from the University of Maine at Machias. Acting and directing in 4 different states has given Crystal a unique perspective through working with various ages and populations. She is currently a coach, teaching acting and modeling to ages 6 and up, at John Casablancas. Crystal is excited to share her talent and experience with the community in her first season as a Teaching Artist at DreamWrights.

Brett Greiman
Teaching Artist
Brett is a graduate of the York Academy of Arts, a muralist, illustrator, graphic designer, educator, and painter. Brett taught for well over a decade at Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts as an adjunct professor of graphic design. He currently works in both conventional and digital mediums in his business “Brett Greiman Design”. Brett’s paintings can be found in both private and corporate collections including Wellspan Health, Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, Harley Davidson, Junior Achievement of Central PA, Nixon Nature Center, Mulberry Art Studios, and York History Center where his large triptych “Civil Rights Heroes, Barrier Breakers” has been inducted into the center’s permanent collection. His works have received much recognition over the years. Barnes Foundation CEO, Kimberly Camp, juror for the 2004 Yorkfest juried exhibition, awarded Brett the “Best of Show” award for the juried exhibit. That painting was selected as the featured artwork for 2006 Yorkfest. In 2002, York mayor John Brenner awarded Brett the York Public Arts Award in recognition of his creative contributions to the York community. Several years later, he shared that recognition again with two other artists in honor of their work to revive Yorkfest. York Sunday News editor and historian, Jim McClure stated in an article “Brett Greiman is a York artist history will remember”. Brett has illustrated five children’s books with one of them now having worldwide sales in excess of one half million copies and available in two languages. Most recently, Brett was selected to be a rostered artist with The Maryland State Arts Council. Brett is a life-long resident of York County and resides with his wife Nina, in York Township where his studio is also located.

Hannah Kuhn
Teaching Artist
Hannah is a sophomore at York College majoring in Early Elementary Education and minoring in Musical Theatre. Hannah has been acting, singing, and dancing since she was little. She has participated in around 45 productions both on and offstage. While Hannah loves acting, her favorite parts of theatre are directing and teaching others about theatre. Hannah is also a voice teacher for Crowne Voice Studio and the director of the Indian Rock Elementary School musical. Growing up in York, PA, Hannah has been coming to DreamWrights camps since she was 5, and she did her first main stage show when she was 7! As a former camper and camp counselor, she loves coming back to DreamWrights every summer to teach a new group of kids about theatre and have fun!

Lydia Miller
Teaching Artist
Lydia is a student at Lebanon Valley College majoring in criminal justice. She has been involved in theater since 2013 and started doing summer camps at DreamWrights in 2018. She has teen counseled at DreamWrights almost every year since then and is so excited to help people learn more about theater!

Demond Nason
Teaching Artist
A graduate of the Boston Conservatory, DeMond is a dynamic artist and storyteller whose career spans stage, screen, and beyond. He toured the country as Lionel in the Cinderella national tour and brought his talents to Off-Broadway in Walmartopia and Click, Clack, Moo, directed by Tony Award winner John Rando. On screen, he was part of the visually stunning world of Across the Universe, directed by the legendary Julie Taymor. A creative force with a passion for immersive artistry, DeMond has also been seen on FOX’s Domino Masters and continues to push artistic boundaries as a children’s book illustrator, designer, and multidisciplinary creator. With a deep love for visual storytelling and theatrical innovation, DeMond is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of artists to craft bold, meaningful work.

Rodd Robertson
Teaching Artist
Rodd was a communications-writing major in college and wrote for Another World Today, The Other World, and A Life of Our Own (online soap operas). He also produced three editions of the fundraiser Flippin’ Broadway, a musical revue of Broadway’s best songs presented with a twist. He has acted in numerous shows and musicals, stage managed, served as Props Master for several productions, and directed extensively.
Rodd was last seen in DreamWrights’ production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and will direct their production of Murder on the Orient Express later this fall.
He works with Central York Middle School theatre productions, teaches camps at DreamWrights during the summer, and continues to act and direct at DreamWrights year-round. Rodd is passionate about community theatre and helping each person, from the youngest to the oldest, learn and grow through participation.

Kristina Schiffgens
Teaching Artist
Kristina Schiffgens has dedicated most of her life to working with young children. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an AMS Montessori certificate. After managing a Montessori preschool classroom for nine years, she now teaches kindergarten at Northern Elementary. Kristina believes that fostering an environment driven by curiosity is essential for optimal learning. This summer, she is excited to introduce a camp that combines children’s books with a maker space approach to spark creative curiosity in your child.

Jay Schmuck
Teaching Artist, Summer Camps
A founding board member of DreamWrights, Jay has worked in theatre most of his life, on and offstage with innumerable community theatre productions, including guest directing several shows at DreamWrights. Jay has been the editor for WRCT’s “Culture and Main” for the last few years. Utilizing his film degree from Boston University, Jay has directed several music videos as well as comedy videos.

Annalise Marie Vuono
Teaching Artist
Annelise’s style is characterized by figurative elements within abstract environments. Her paintings feature strong color schemes and an emotional presence. Based out of Central PA, Annelise is the daughter of an art educator and designer. She began drawing at a young age finding inspiration from fantasy films, music, graphic novels, and nature. Later, she graduated with a BFA from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Annelise has been working for years in various visual art fields and participates in gallery showings yearly. Her work has been published in books and magazines, and featured among athletic and fashion venues. In recent years she has made a career out of being a full-time artist and shifted almost solely to public, large-scale work. In addition to creating art, Annelise has a passion for community involvement, including volunteering, educating, and raising awareness for the arts with a mission to “revitalize communities through accessible art, to evoke emotion for the enrichment of society.”
Cancellation and Refund Policy
We offer 100% refund within 30 days of camp/class start date and 50% within 2 weeks of start date. If you choose to withdraw less than 2 weeks before (including during the camp), no refund will be offered. If DreamWrights cancels a class/camp due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
