Join instructor Rebecca Wolf as we travel through the African savanna exploring different themes each week: drumming, movement, voice, and character! Students will be introduced to a wide range of theatrical skills through the lens of the show. Come along on this adventure as we put “pride” in creative expression through Disney’s The Lion King Experience.
Ages 8 and up
Join York Music Therapy founder, Pauline Jarvie MT-BC, in our inaugural special needs theatre program! Participants will learn songs, dances, lines and theatre games in our show choir style program, all while developing life skills and connecting with their peers. The Star Players Program uses the power of music and the arts to empower our students and nurture their creativity and self-expression, giving them the tools and confidence to conquer life….and the stage! The series will culminate with a final shareback at 4:30 on March 25th.
Ages 12 – adult
Join video expert, Randy Flaum, to learn how to use recording equipment, develop storyboards, shoot footage and create your own video. (Equipment provided). Participants will take home an MP4 video file. Get a leg up on upcoming documentary projects here at DreamWrights.
Monday Night Workshop Ages 13 – adult
INTRO TO PROJECTION March 27 7:00-9:00 $15
Join us for an Intro to Projection. But beware; this is not your mother’s presentation. This is definitely not just PowerPoint. No more the simple single image projected from directly behind or in front of the screen. Use VPT7 to put up multiple images and movies, warped to match the shapes on the stage. Project from way off to the side. Interact with the projections. Your imagination (and perhaps the cost of your software) is the limit!
