Audition Prep and Scenes: Bridge to Terabithia

Auditions for this production are open to ages 7 through adult. Please prepare the scenes (sides) to the best of your ability. Those auditioning do not have to memorize the sides, although you are welcome to. We ask that you are familiar with the material so you can really make strong character choices, as well as eye contact with your fellow actors and the directing team. If possible, please print your scenes and bring with you to the theatre.  (DreamWrights will supply copies for those who do not have access to a printer.) Thank you!

In addition, everyone except for GIRLS ages 7-9, TEEN FEMALES ages 15-18, and ADULT MALES AND FEMALES ages 31-50 have a singing part and will be asked to sing a short piece at auditions, as noted in the audition selections below.

Please note that Bridge to Terabithia contains references to subject matter that may be difficult for children (e.g., death of a child and associated grief, child abuse, and religion). All material will be handled sensitively. Feel free to review Katherine Paterson’s Newbery Award-winning novel and/or the movie in advance of auditions.
