Construction FAQs

DreamWrights is currently undergoing Phase 1 of our Capital Campaign construction project. The building’s old lobby, office area, elevator, classroom, kitchen, and concessions area are under renovation. However, the front offices, Black Box Theatre, Black Box lobby, and 2nd floor classrooms are accessible for camp use.
It’s an exciting time for DreamWrights, and we are glad that you are joining us!

What are the sign-in procedures this year?

Campers and their parents/guardians will enter through the Camp/Show Entrance (marked with a sign on the blue side of the building), where they will proceed into the Black Box lobby for sign-in. Teen Camp Counselors will place camper lunches/belongings in the assigned areas in the lobby. Campers will then been seated in the Black Box Theatre with their Teaching Artist and other campers. Parents may accompany campers to their seats, or they may leave after sign-in.

Sign-in will begin at 8:50 AM for 9 AM-start camps, or 12:50 PM for 1 PM-start camps.

What are the sign-out procedures this year?

Parents/guardians picking up campers must enter through the Camp/Show Entrance. You may wait in the Black Box lobby for camps to end.

When camps finish, campers will be dismissed from the Black Box Theatre by camp to reduce crowding in the lobby. When you leave, please be sure that your camper has all of his/her belongings.

Camps will dismiss at either 12 PM or 4 PM. We ask that you please be prompt with pick-up.

What are those trailers in the parking lot?

Because of our renovations, restrooms are now located in trailers outside of the entrance. There is a men’s and women’s restroom, a handicap-accessible restroom, and a construction crew-only restroom — all of which are located within a fenced-in area. Campers will always be supervised at bathroom breaks.

Where will camps take place during the day?

Camps will take place in the 1st floor Black Box Theatre or in 2nd floor classroom areas. If your child has an accessibility concern with stairs, please indicate this at time of enrollment, or contact Hannah Kohler at Hannah@dreamwrights.org, or call 717-848-8623.

Where will the end-of-camp sharings take place?

Every effort will be made to have sharings on the first floor of the building (either in the Black Box Theatre or in the Black Box lobby). However, some sharings may need to take place on the second floor.

Again, if any members of your family will be attending but cannot climb stairs, please notify Hannah Kohler at Hannah@dreamwrights.org in the beginning of your camp week.
